Wanted: Memories

I looked around,

Looking for the right ingredient.

Not too sweet, not too sour,

I know you’re somewhere God sent.

Worried you might get lost forever.

Others look for something,

That will last forever.

While I look for something,

That I’ll remember more than ever.

Doesn’t matter if you’re gonna leave,

Just don’t leave too soon.

We will walk side by side,

As memories pile up.

Taken by a camera for remembrance,

I can look at with one tap.

Please, anyone, don’t delete any of this,

For I might forget.

Others wish for something forever,

While I don’t.

Not that I don’t but I can’t,

For I promised before that I won’t.

I won’t hurt anyone else,

By forgetting them as time passes by.
